Bangin' the Funky Electro-house.. This is a very powerful mix... Loads of energy... Love it... PHAT'n'PHUNKY - End of story... Thanx for sharing - Later Tomas / Denmark
Hey matey, well done on a wicked mix.... Great tunes, great clean mixing... Watch out for some new cuts from myself when I get my new MK5's! Well done. Dj Trikki
You certainly are Phat, Franky! Some phat tracks inside, one or two I didn't like but plenty of juicy dancefloor business & big bass here mixed very well.
I reckon funky house & liquid funk could work together in a club personally.. we should spread the word..
The mix itself is great, no prob about that. The rest is all about music so please bear in mind those comments are subjective.
I'll question your playlist. Great tunes are next to really cheesier ones. The global impression is weird. You should definitely choose which part of the force you want to follow...
The speed: sometimes you're way above 130bpm and for some of those tracks it's a bit too fast. That's supposed to be House music, not techno. We can hear it on the tones. You can create energy with speed but not at the expense of sound quality/rationality.
Hey, as I said, that's subjective. A lot of people enjoyed your mix!
A strongly electro influenced, electro infused mix that deserves its title PHAT AS PHUNK. The tracklist is well selected, it contains many must haves of the 2005/2006 season. "I am strictly high class..." says the voice on the Enzo Mori & Stephan Clarke track "First Class" and I do not exaggerate when I write: YOU are high class, what matters the technical skills (very, very tight mix), what matters track selection,... Keep on your good work!
MP-section, joni, nat - ya you guys are def. correct when u say this is mostly electro house...i usually spin a more funky house but when i uploaded this i was thinkin straight ha.
everyone - thanks for all the kind words and there will be more where this came from!
Well done thats a great mix! Nice track selection, mixing and well put together. Some real nice tunes in there all my style as I have some them in my crates too...
Have to agree not totally funky house as such but a nice mix of funky, electro and 1 or 2 are a bit harder which kept it interesting...
Thought Washing Up into Punch Drunk sounded good.
This is my first listen/review on here and I'm so glad I found this site. Will check out your other sets and upload my mixes soon.
Wow, I am really impressed by your taste and your skill - it's an amazing mix! I'd file it under electro house rather than funky house (well it IS funky too ), but thats just my 2 cents.
hi i'm extremely impressed with this mix, you talent is really good. there were a few key clashes but you covered them well. nice to see you using some underground records as well as the more well known funky and electro house records (like coburn and filterfunk). well done mate
I should be uploading a new mix in the next few days but its more soulful then the stuff i've put on here previously.
shake that ass for me...shake that ass for me your mix is totally phat...(yeah with a ph)...it makes me hot (if you know what i mean ) I'm going to jam to it while i work out tomorrow. I'll be going crazy on the treadmill while i listen to this mix. You are the dopest dj ever...you'll be bringing in the soon enough...you're better than bad boy bill and dj tiesto combined...your shit is . Anyone who doesn't listen to your new mix and absolutely love it...is fuckkkkked up
