This is my second DnB set. I was introduced to Drum & Bass by coincidence. I purchased a CD by The Art of Noise ( Drum & Bass Collection ) and I loved it ever since. However, I found it to be one of the harder genres to mix. Needless to say this is a Journey that I hope you all will take with me while I improve my technique. Bring that honest feedback I welcome it. Meanwhile I hope you all feel the groove and the dramatic effect I wanted to convey!
really cool neurofunk set, kazuna!! like all the stuff, and if you´ve just started, your mixing skills are fine..
i played more than 15 years d&b, a lot in clubs or on raves with big names like black sun empire, andy c, kenny ken, and what their names are.. and believe me, the most of them dont mix better than you! maybe you´re even better than the most of them. lol*
most important thing is to trainee your ears! get a feeling for the sound, think about part to part build up.. but i dont see, that you would need much help! greetz*
Your productions and remixes sound very cool ! Mental, dark, with some neuro-funk influences... A special mention for "Mantegua". Its syncopated drumkicks are absolutely delicious. It reminds me certain stuff of Shackleton.
