hi DIMSA YOUR MIXTAPE ( SAN REAN ) IS VERY VERY BEAUTIFUL. TNX AND SEND ME YOUR NEWS ABOUT DEEP MUSIC. CIAO FROM DJ MASSIMO BELLINI ( firstname.lastname@example.org CIAOOOOOOO AND MERRY CHRISTAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. CIAO MASSIMO
It's not just the overall feel and vibe that Disma generates with his mixes, it's the good choices and parings he incorporates into the mixes as well. This one flows so smooth too, and as far as deephouse, jazzy house and such grooves go, this is a great mix!
It's a solid mix. Being from SF I was expecting a few more SF classics in this mix (i.e. DubTribe, Astral Matrix, OM, Ubiquity etc..). Track 2 and 7 definitely give this mix a San Fran feel. I especially like like the bpm throughout this mix...that is the SF bpm. I love the transition into track 7 out of that mezmerizing deep house loops...very 3am SF sounding! Keep it up!
Interesting photo, first I thought that the Golden Gate was just pasted on top of the city view since I only saw the Transamerica Pyramid this close to the Bay Bridge not to GG. Well, danman would have picked it up, and a quick look at Google Earth confirmed that indeed it's a real view from this angle, so it makes me wonder how they took this photo, had to be from the air not just from a boat, the angles would not match then...
I'm loving this mix, the intro track has that definite "Jazzanova" sound with the dry electro beats, electro-nu-jazz. Then it's quite ambient minimal deep house all the way through, quite unusual from you Dimsa, but it's great! I very much enjoyed the atmosphere all the way through. Tigerskin was my other fav track here, the Soundplanet, of course since it's jazzy, then From P60 has very subtle minimal vocals with a bit of an electro-disco sound, how great. Even the last track is jazzy with some piano chords here and there.
Wonderful all the way through, a big surprise, I believe this is a brand new mood in the Dimsa arsenal - if not let me know which earlier mix of yours was similar!
PS: Mystery solved - the given the size of the GG bridge the photo must have been taken further away from it by zooming in hence the bridge looks not much bigger than the buildings which are quite further away in the back. There seems to be some points from the national park on the mountain where you can get this angle angle and view (thought it was the Point Bonita Lighthouse on the edge but it's not that high - this is probably the other pillar of the bridge not the one close to the city so this could be from the top of the mountain). The native SanFranciscans (is that a word? :-) could help out, I've only visited a few times...
