i do think that a dj mix is a part of a larger concept which is sound design. for me making people travelling by putting together music pieces is sound designing and the rest is only a question of technicals.
Hi my friend you are right in a sens, the question is do we put songs compilations in the dj mix side...me i do but i really think its up to each others..

by definition http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disc_jockey
"A disc jockey (also known as disk jockey, DJ or deejay) is a person who selects and plays recorded music for an audience"
Now, if someone doesn't like the way is mixed, that's ok, but this is a mix released by a DJ
I appreciate the link that you provided. However, I'm not questioning if Javier is a DJ. He most certainly is and a damn good one! The debate is Compilation of songs vs A Mix. I agree with both of you philosophically but I disagree technically. Yes, Javier put a great mixture of single songs together with spaces between them. Allow me to use your source with a different link to prove my point ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DJ_mix
