So much noise about the On the Rocks on the .com. So I had to take a look ! I chose that selection which seems to me quite interesting.
And I'm not disappointed, as a true Chicago DJ you are getting harder early, as of the fifth minute... ready to take off !
Nevertheless, I appreciate a lot less the vocal of Groove is in the Heart, but that's a detail.
I like your style. Dynamic and groovin' in your mix. Not a lot of time spent on each track, and transitions quite short, but that's a great work to make the clubbers movin. You put energy in your set, and life. But you should take care of not falling in the precipitation, like your entry of Hey Cowboy... quite aggressive.
Then, that's f*c*i* groovy, even a bit too cheesy for me sometimes. But I listen to that set movin' as the devil on my chair ! Moreover that you are getting more powerfull in your kicks passed the half of the set !
I don't know if it's you who put this vocal sample of "Fuck on Cocaine" of Infected, but it was awesomely brang. Come on, we keep on goin !!! Wow, so electro for a disco !
On Cicada, I would have one single thing to say: too much cuts, kill the cut !
And I'm bored to hear it, but that's just my point of view.
I would like to underline something too. Usually, I really don't like jingles and vocal samples, but yours are quite fun and it's like if you were interacting with the listeners, and that's definitly a good point !
Too much FX on Gail int the O., again you want to show your skills, but that's too much and you finally wrongly alter the music.
Almost a break house track to finish your set... good idea.
So, finally it would sure be a +50 for that freakin electro house set. I will listen to your other mixes, even if i'm not fond of hearing your pseudo so much.
I know that's promotion...
The selection is sometimes too clubby for me, but it sure fits perfectly to an housy club ! Just be care of your abuses on FX !
Overall Impression: 9/10
PS: excuse me for my english
