I’m a latecomer to mixing. Liked the music as a kid, but wasn't able to afford the equipment. (This was before the days of digital downloads.)

Started out around 2005 with a cheap all-in-one unit comprised of 2 CD players and a cross-fader. Got the bug and upgraded to more professional looking equipment after a couple of years. I added a Macbook and Ableton to my repertoire a couple of months ago, but as yet I have no idea what I'm doing with it. Besides, decks are more fun to mix with.

Since then I’ve been inflicting mixes on a few friends, but looking to broaden my audience. Lawrence, Kansas contains a pretty diverse music scene, but house and trance music is sorely lacking. On the off-chance someone else from Lawrence reads this and has designs on starting a house or trance night, let me know.
