Dude, just to let you know, we used this set of yours as a warm up for The Miguel Migs gig in Sydney (where Spnny Fodera is the actual warm-up DJ) - we are at home drinking cocktails and listening to Off The Cuff 2 now on Wharfadale speakers with KEF KUBE-2 subwoofer, it sounds awesome and you are just nailing it with your track selection and your mixing...

Just getting ready now for Valentine's dinner so I thought we should check out if Dimsa had a special mix for tonight? And there we go... My biggest surprise was the F-sharp minor that I know so well from Summer Madness, my all time favourite. I've been collecting all cover versions ever since but then the grove beats dropped and realised that I never heard this one. Well done mate, looking forward to listening to this now!

Mate, what a surprise! The intro track samples the band Osibisa from their album "Voyaya" - I knew this african chant from the top of my head as I listed to it so much when I was younger (eeche koodoo che eeche - ata koorooba atooba...). Funny how things come back many years later - in this case over 40 years, the Voyaya album is from 1971 (!) as I just learnt now. Best ever album cover.

Mate, I'm listening to this as I write this on a chilled Sunday afternoon (following your DJ's Night Off set). It's a brilliant track list with a very special mood you captured here, I really enjoy these dry beats with cool, funky but laidback vibes in a crossover with deep old school house grooves at points. We always say that it's another Dimsa masterpiece however this one is even more, truly outstanding. Thanks for sharing, I will be playing this a lot on rotation for sure.

Happy New Year mate! This one is really dope, I listened to it twice on Sunday afternoon. Thanks for reminding me of this Journeyman cover of Stretch, love those guitar riffs. Very cool groove beats all over - what happened at the end, there is a sudden stop? Maybe just my player but you might want to check it...

Hey mate, great to see that you're on the same journey as I am, very much into Jackin House lately myself too... Sonny Fodera used to live in Adelaide, he is based in Melbourne now, great exposure to a unique producer from down under! Just heard "Change" the other day in a club, I was gonna buy it but I guess I can't put it into my set now that you used it here :-) Most of the others were new for me, which also means that my set will have some surprises, will release it soon!

Haha, the i:cube track was actually my idea, the mood at the end of Lychee's part just reminded me of it so I suggested we end it that way. Such a nice fit.

You're back and nothing changed. Lychee Chill is becoming an epic mix series, no compromise on quality and consistency. Earning the lifetime recognition of the Queen of Mellow title for you.

The intro track is just so Lychee, your special style, so mellow but has an edge with the percussion (tabla-like again true to heritage). I liked the confident and brave cutover to Track2, has to have a groove and this is just so tight, my kind of hiphop beats with the loungey tone. Absolutely brilliant.

The breathtaking moment is Track3 with the Sade bassline that is always a special surprise for me. I have just seen Chris Botti live in Sydney, he also has a "No Ordinary Love" cover but this is quite special with the portugese? lyrics.

The transition to Track4 is invisible, I honestly did not hear when it happened (well, first listen, I could analyze it :-). You had this flow for a long time, good to see that you did not forget it.

Track 5 has a nice oriental vibe and more traditional loungey but it works well to provide some contrast to the tight beats coming in at Track6, a great head nodding tune again with thumping bassline. Reminds me of some old funk, like "More bounce to the ounce" (I mean the bassline) and also some Ninja Tune vibes.

Another inaudible transition to Track 7. Same trick with Track 8, you take it mellow and then you bring in the dope beats, it's nice the way you play with the contrast while still keeping the overall mood. You are very consistent. It's the same old Lychee Sweet Lullaby mood here again. Track 8 very much reminded me of Chris Botti, check out "Miami Overnight", "Lisa", "Back Into My Heart" and "Last Three Minutes" from him.

Jazzy and dope at Track9, bit of a Benson soound or rather Ronny Jordan. I like the heavy rim shot snares.

Track 10 transition is seemless again and it's beautiful vocals, I liked the lyrics. The electro bass sound was a hint like Massive Attack, namely Protection if you know what I mean.

You save the best for last - or for the proper place. Track 11, the pinnacle of the mix :-). I was truly shocked, it is so wonderful, it's breathtaking. Honestly I did not believe you could take this mix so far. Well, the beats are classic as SWV sampled them in Right Here with a bit of an addition, the bassline is awesome and actually the whole track is almost like the above mentioned Botti Song "Back Into My Heart". Now you have to listen to that.

I did not like the transition into Track12 that much but I guess 11 was tops for me. It is still in the mood and an interesting track, bit of a Pork Records sound and of course I dig the tight groove. So far you have the tightest grooves on this Lychee Chill I guess, your special selection of heavy beats topped with the most tripping and atmospheric, easy sound. Like Track 15 again, very much down my alley. Perfect close to the mix.

It's an honor to have you here and being able to listen to your work. Thank you for sharing, we're ever grateful.

Track 11 has made a comment on SOULFUL HOUSE Vol. 5 in Soulful House Party
Mate, you deserve much more than saying it's the usual high quality (even if it is and it's hard to say anything else).

First two tracks are very cool and soulful, bit more gentle than what we usually get from you, liked them a lot! Of cos, Julius Papp and Muthafunkaz... my favs.

You know that you had a volume problem at 11:20, it is way too loud the way it comes it (hehe, it's like my quick fade in method). I know you're mixing live so it's hard to get it perfect all time.

I actually did not like Track3, even if it's Muthafunkaz, the Crystal Waters style synths killed it to me, too rough.

But then you drop a BOMB again with Souldynamic, not sure if you know where it's sampled from, one of my fav hip-hop songs, Skee-Loo's "I Wish" - pure awesomeness... (I wish I was a little bit taller, wish I was a baller). You are an endless source of great house remixes and cover versions to me.

Jose Carretas and Stephanie Cooke - just can't go wrong, all their songs have this special easy, dreamy vibe.

I liked Groove Delivers a lot, not typical soulful but the whole pulsating house is just very funky. Bit of classic chicago piano.

The bass and the whole understated funkiness of Mr. Mood is really cool - I'm very much into this style now, have a listen to my preview of my upcoming Late Nite Vibes Session Four, very similar funky house style, it's up on my Soundcloud page but not here: www.soundcloud.comtrack11

Well, of course it was cool, it's Duffnote. Thanks DJ Toddy for advertising my Richard Earnshaw set, mate you rock! :-) Check your gmail, I dropped a message for you...

Loved the Bah Samba guiter riffs, very 80s disco - the horn stabs around 52:00 remind me of MFSB's "The Message Is Love", surprising that DJ Toddy did not pick it up, it is his favourite (also sampled in Madonna's "Vogue" that might help in recognizing what I mean).
Bit of a Salsoul Orchestra sound definitely.

And then Earnshaw - well, this is the bass we all die for, the definition of soulful (hence why I call my series "In Love With My Bassline).

Nice drop at the end again - most people would say it's Spiller GrooveJet samples, but we of course know that it's the Salsoul label (hehe, comes back) classic Carol Williams - "Love Is You" - again, dunno how DJ Toddy did not pick it up and mentioned this. Great tribute to the roots - like Grant Nelson does it in his Housecall EP mixes, drops a nice classic 70s or 80s funk or disco track in the end to bow for the greats...

Keep it up mate, you're a legend!
